Amric has been defeated, though spared, during his fight with the Rose-Eaten Knight. During the fight, he transformed into some kind of monstrous creature. --- [[What... was that?]]

Knight, brother, are you both mad? It will kill him!” (text-colour:blue)[Amric:] “We don’t know that for sure. (Amric will not answer any of the following questions until at least one quest is completed with him as a companion. This is because this first quest will increase his disposition enough for him to start talking to the player. Success Radhia glares at the player, but makes no move to take the second vial from Amric. (text-colour:red)[Disposition with Radhia lowered.] --- Glad we're in agreement, then. [[What now?]] --- or... Failure (text-colour:purple)[Radhia:] "You don't scare me enough for me to risk Amric's life, knight." Radhia glares at you, but still takes a few steps toward Amric. He swallows hard, eyes darting from his sister to the knight and back. (text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "Wait, sister. Let this be my decision." Radhia stops, her jaw clenching. (text-colour:red)[Disposition with Radhia lowered.] --- [[You heard him. ->If he agrees to fight, then he will fight.]]

(text-colour:purple)[Radhia:] "What? Do you intend to use my brother as a pawn against that monster?!" Amric says nothing. He stares at the ground, brow furrowed. (text-colour:red)[Disposition with Radhia lowered.] --- [[If he agrees to fight, then he will fight.]] [[They've caused enough trouble. I think it's time they make up for it.]]

(text-colour:purple)[Radhia:] "I'm getting him to a healer. Do what you will here, then meet us back in Azandele." --- Return to [[Start]]

Radhia lets out a frustrated sigh, but she seems to know the choice is ultimately Amric's. (text-colour:purple)[Radhia:] "...What say you, brother?" (text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "I..." He clenches his fists around a patch of dead grass. It's hard to tell whether the pained expression on their face is from the transformation, or the choice they've been given. "I'll do it." --- [[Thank you, Amric.->What now?]]

(text-colour:purple)[Radhia:] "That's not for you to-" (text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "I'll do it." Radhia's head snaps to face Amric, her eyes stricken with shock. (text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "The knight is right. It's the least I could do, really." (text-colour:red)[Disposition with Radhia lowered] --- [[Good. Now that that's settled, what now?->What now?]]

Any time I accompany ("accompanied" if this is post-Rose Knight) the Prince on diplomatic meetings to Vintergrön, we sail (or "sailed") to Sjöstad. Sjöstad is a modest size for a port city - compared to Grand Courois, at least. It's ruled by a young earl. I think he's around 17 or 18 years of age now, though he was 16 when I last saw him." --- [[How interesting]] [[And Vintergrön?]]

(text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "It's smaller than Grand Courois as well, but bigger than Sjöstad. The buildings there are quite old as well, I'd say some are even from before the Reclamation. Emyrik's Monarch, Cedric, is a scholar of their land's history, so it's no wonder those ancient buildings are in such good shape. It's very cold up in those mountains, though." --- [[Sounds like a place I'd like to visit one day, maybe with you, if you'd like.]] [[I think I'll keep my distance.]]

Amric sighs. He's hesitant, and the way he slouches forward and looks off to the side betrays his normally unreadable exterior. Does he look... guilty? (text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "I left Azandele and the Deep Forest a few years after I came of age. My sister and parent weren't happy about it, but I knew there was more than that forest and I wanted to see it for myself..." They pause, biting the inside of their cheek. (text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "...That's not entirely true. In a way, I hated Azandele. I thought I'd go insane if I stayed there any longer." --- [[Why?]]

(text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "Something felt wrong about the place. But in the end, I think I was just bitter they wouldn't let me into the guard." --- [[Why wouldn't they let you in?]]

(text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "Azandele doesn't allow outsiders to join the guard due to past hostility from the surrounding nations. And, technically, I'm an outsider. My parent - adoptive parent - found me at the edge of the Deep Forest when I was still a babe and took me in as their own." --- [[That makes sense]] [[But you grew up there. Why were you still considered an outsider?]]

(text-colour:blue)[Amric:] "The first city I came across after emerging from the Deep Forest was Grand Courois. I skulked about the alleys for a few weeks, terribly overwhelmed by the noise and smell of the place, before gathering the courage to approach the castle. Luckily for me, the guards saw my Azandelian cloak and decided I seemed noble enough to allow me an audience with the Prince." --- [[And now you're here?]]
